~ WHAT WE OFFER
Reflective consultation for the whole practitioner
Sage & Cedar Consulting offers both reflective consultation to support professionals and programs engaged in relational work. Our consultants are available for full-time contract work or fractional consultation for organizations that need consistent, embedded support without a full-time commitment.
Reflective supervision provides a protected space for practitioners to process the emotional and relational dimensions of their work, build insight, and sustain their professional wellbeing.
Consultation focuses more directly on exploring program challenges, patterns, and systems in order to strengthen practice and organizational capacity.
Professional development and training offerings are grounded in the same reflective framework, designed to build capacity across teams and organizations rather than simply deliver content.
All of our work shares the same foundation: careful listening, thoughtful reflection, and respect for the experience and expertise practitioners already hold.
One-on-one sessions tailored to your role, caseload, and your professional growth.
Small cohort sessions for teams of 3-8 practitioners. Builds shared reflective culture and peer learning practices.
Program-level support for agencies seeking to implement or strengthen leadership architecture and program infrastructure.
Washington State approved training for early childhood and social service professionals, grounded in reflective practice and designed for the realities of relational work.

Why reflective consultation matters
The research is clear: practitioners who receive regular reflective supervision or consultation are more resilient, more attuned, and less likely to experience burnout. They also deliver measurably better outcomes for children and families in their care.
Reduces Secondary Traumatic Stress
Working with vulnerable populations carries real emotional weight. Reflective supervision gives you a structured space to process what you carry before it accumulates.
Strengthens Parallel Process Awareness
Experiencing reflective, attuned support helps you offer the same to the people you serve.
Deepens Cultural & Relational Responsiveness
Regular reflection builds your capacity to notice your own assumptions and reactions, making you a more responsive practitioner.
Supports Workforce Stability
Programs that invest in reflective consultation see lower turnover and stronger program quality; outcomes that matter to funders, families, and the field.
The case for consultation
Whether you're navigating the demands of early learning spaces, processing the emotional weight of relational work, or seeking to deepen your reflective capacity as a leader, this is the space built for you.
